Hey CGN,

Is anyone interested in having an enhanced bolt knob for their Cz527 rifle? We did up the following prototype last night and it works pretty well, especially if you have optics. It's designed to fit the Cz527 rifles which have a threaded on bolt knob, but it should fit any bolt which is M6x1 threaded (I think the Cz457 is like this? Maybe others). The prototype is not anodized. Production ones would be finished black.

If you're interested in these please reply below.

If you could piggy back the DIP Executive bolt knob I would throw you money today!, but yes I'm in for one of yours. And it would be for my CZ 457 same threading.

Very nice looking. Can you please post some pictures with the bolt knob lifted? The CZ-527 first generation has a problem with the angle of the bolt arm. Unless you had a scope mounted very high, it would always conflict with the scope. I have a second generation that has a Vortex mounted quite low. The OE bolt knob has only 3 to 4 millimetres clearance from the scope when lifted.

I'll get some pics of the clearance. The OEM knob and our prototype offer about the same amount of clearance around the scope. In the 3rd pic we posted you can see how close the bolt is to the optic. The optic on there right now is a EO Tech Vudu 1-6 and medium rings.

I would prefer a more tear drop design. As is, there is not much clearance and when you "race" the bolt it will mare the both, bolt and scope.

What 527 rifles have a threaded bolt handle?

AFAIK the bolt handle length was changed in 2015 to be longer but still had a solid handle w/knob built in. My 2016 527 Lux in 223 is solid

If there are newer threaded bolt handles do they fit the slightly older rifles?

I have a 2019 production 527 carbine and the bolt knob is threaded on. There seems to be some thread locker or glue in play too. It's a small knob and something slightly bigger/longer would be nice... and depending on design/price I'd be in for one.
