lets see your thick bush guns!

I have one of these Ruger American Ranch rifles in 450 BM as well have a Leupold VX2 2-7x36mm long range reticle on mine.

First thing I did was take that fugly muzzle brake off it.

Can't figure out why they would eve put it onto such a light recoiling rifle.

Agreed-looks like a howitzer! Mine must have been put on by a gorilla and wont budge. I've applied some penetrating oil and will try again. Recoil is pleasant-like a 20GA.

Stalking Rifle thread from the past. :)

My two current favorites. Both ideal for stalking through thick bush due to their compactness and excellent ergonomics

The Ruger GSR needs no introduction....:)

SBI 6.5 Grendel. Overall this rifle is about 27” with stock collapsed. Using side mounted flush cup sling swivels it's easy to carry this across the chest or swept to the side if you need it out of the way for climbing over obstacles. 12.5" International barrel makes it easy to maneuver in tight cover. Topped with an illuminated LPVO it can be fast as a red dot when on 1X or crank it up to 6X and use the reticle to make hits out to 300 if you get to a clearing.

A perfect stalking rifle.

Beautiful rifles!

What load are you shooting in your 6.5 and have you chrono the velocity?

Thinking on a similar build but worry the short barrel losing too much.

100gr @ 2400 FPS
127/129 @ 2250-2300 FPS

I'm going to try some 115 Barnes when I get a chance. I feel confident that this is a 300 yard deer rifle. Moose would have to be much closer

Thanks for your reply.

That's good to know saw some videos on YouTube the 6.5G was able to drop some black bears as well as elk time to start shopping for parts now lol.

I am about to start a build of one of these. Starting with a Remington 760 pump in 30.06...plans include parkerizing, peep sight, synthetic stock, barrel shortened. We will see where it ends up.

Funny video in a few ways. :)

- I wouldn't show my face either if I was highlighting that gun.
- How does a one armed guy shoot a lever action?
- His "ready-for-action" tactical belt knife is not ready for action as it's handle is pointed to his non-arm side.

I did one similar to what you are thinking. I would pass on the parkerizing. Those finishes are more likely to rust. 20" bbl is perfect for that. Find a Williams FP. They are click adjustable and work very well. Mine got traded. I regret that.

It a great rifle to bad you can't see past your nose, if you need a personal demonstration I would be more than happy to show you the ropes. As you are obviously confused on what a person with a disability can do and how it's done. And the knife is pointed in the right direction, but know doubt your the expert here right. Lol.

I'm sorry to have upset you so much that you need to make fun of my nose. Was that you're youtube video? If so, maybe you can post another on how a one armed shooter handles a lever action in the field. I'd like to see that to help me with my obvious confusion.

You are right about me NOT being a tactical fighting knife expert. The position of his (your) knife seems to me to be counter intuitive to a fast removal from that sheath to make a quick kill on you opponent. Maybe you could help me with that as well.

I am happy that you like that rifle. It's probably a great seller and will be around for years.

This one badly needs a re-do. The “cold blue” someone did before me ain’t cutting it. For me to park it, is the quickest solution.
I just ordered a Williams WGRS. No click, but slick. Is the one in your picture 20”? It looks well proportioned.
