As title say, I must swap the striker/lifter assembly on my girlfriend 20ga topper, cause im a jackass who dry fire it and broke it. The job itself seem a bit challenging but I have confidence that I should be able to do it. My problem come with ordering the part itself. H&r have many topper using the same name but in different gage. For example, you could have a topper model sb1. This sb1 exist in 12, 20, 410ga. In my case the striker im trying to change is on a older version, the model 88. I also own the latter version (SB1) still in 20ga. And by looking at it the striker look the same. But when im trying to order the part, I can choose the sb1 but not the gage. Does that mean that all the 12, 20, 410 use the same assembly? can I go with this part? https://www.gunpartscorp.com/products/1139220B

Its part 26 on the schematic https://www.gunpartscorp.com/gun-manufacturer/hr/shotguns-hr/single-barrel-series/88-hr

Thank you for taking the time to read me.

If I recall correctly the SB1 frames are the shotguns and the SB2 frames are the center-fire rifles so the SB1 version for the shotguns should work for you.

Thank you KC34. Im 90% sure the part are the same. Also it will not make sense, production wise, to manufacture a different part. My doubt come from the fact that on the 88 schematic im being redirect to whats looks like the right striker. But in the description, its say nowhere model 88.

Also ive notice that my functing sb1 made by New england firearm is not locking when the action is ####. I mean I can open the breach when the gun is ####. While on the harrington and richardson 88 I cannot open the breach when the gun is ####, wich will make sense for safety reason. Is this a feature they remove over time? Or my sb1 also have some kind of trouble? I cannot see any external difference betwen both gun. Yet one is locking and the other not. When pressing both trigger with cocked piece both have some kind of latch moving, nothing different. So its definetly internal. If someone reading me who own a sb1 made by NEF, could tell me if your gun cannot be open if its cocked that will be helpfull. I already got one to fix and im not fond of openning another one. They are a pita to reassemble.
