Who remembers the days of guys arguing over xcr vs tavor, tavor vs Swiss arms green.

All the threads of the new to market ATRS, the new to market stag etc.

All the guys having pissing matches over accuracy on guns nor designed for accuracy. There was always the guys who justified there price on a Swiss was "sub moa all day" yet in the precision section there was a thread for purpose built bolts and only a handful actually qualified for this title. But the Swiss boys maintained there theories lol.

The cz and other evil red rifle lovers. Constantly posting pics of their beaver turd stocks.

All the threads of "what non restricted semi autos in Canada " and we only had 3-4 to name. Then we got to over a dozen over the years.

Ahhhhhh those were the days. Now no one wants to post pics as none of us have them anymore since Mike in Canmore bought them all. No new manufacturers rushing to bring us new toys. Ugh those were days. Any other common threads I'm missing from the good ole days?
 
It's not just the May 1st OIC.

Many ranges are closed, and have been for months.
And the few that are open, are under severe restrictions.

None of the fun events that would involve "black and green rifles" were taking place in 2020.

Hopefully things get better in 2021.

Ya, between corona and oic. 2020 really ruined everything.
 
I miss having something new to look forward to. As I was diving into this hobby I was pleasantly surprised there were NR options like XCR, ACR, Stags etc, and there was always something new on the horizon to stay engaged.

Now its the same handful of rather boring options with very little coming to the market due to our post-OIC environment.
 
I have a hard time believing manufacturers will bother coming up with variants to fit our rules. And vendors will bother with FRT when at any moment the rug can get pulled. And the selection of guns that were picked or left out still boggle my mind.

US manufacturers will not bother for sure. We are a very small market compared to our southern neighbor.
