How do you tell a c no 7 front sight base from a no 4 base?
I think I have a no 7 one, just want to be sure.

What are the no 7 bases worth now?

A No4 sight base has the slots to slide over the bayonet lugs. The CNo7 base doesn't.

The guard is the same.

Someone know where to find one? This is the only thing I need to complete an original cno7. Someone sporterised it. Cut the wood, removed the front sight block and instal a no drill scope base. Sad to see this. At least it’s all restorable.
