Where you one go for a trophy bull moose in Canada

I agree after looking at the fees being asked.

After all these years, i realise I am really chasing after the experience and memories more so than a high B & C score.

Came across Fogo Island , now that intrigues me a lot.

Need to visit as well.

Canadian residents can hunt in the Yukon without a two week isolation under the current rules, you fly in and the outfitter whisks you off straight to camp.

Spot on

I tend to blab on a bit but no fool.

yes I agree

15000 + usd for a Yukon moose package

I paid a fraction of that for a 1300 pounds Kamchatka brown plus left over for helicopter ride and one week’s worth of Thai massage

this pandemic will change things for sure when people gets their sense of proportion back.

you still did not answer about quad boat horse helicopter ... north america is not russia for sure ... not everybody is ready to challenge 10 days or more wihout a whole staff ...

I lost you there.... I have not hunted Yukon to date so I have no opinion on what mode is best.

I had hope folks here can share their real hunting experience.

as for staff? I am not that kind of hunter. No thanks.

I have done moose in many countries , in a way once I have got a nice North American moose I would have completed all 8 countries of the arctic circle except Greenland.

I agree Yukon , NWT or NWBC Gigas is likely to be the nicest trophy but that doesn’t mean I want to pay the asking price. ..bit like Tanzania

I was invited to a group hunt about 8 years ago in the Chapleau region Ontario. So had a taste of what to expect here. Got bowled out for a duck there.

I still have good health so I like to hook onto an outfitter to call a moose in really close and harvest it with my faithful double.

thanks for the effort

no problem i thought you will know what you prefer. helicopter is a no no in the yukon so only available in nwt.

the staff is to compare with russia and especially kamtchaka. there is a chance here you will be with a guide and a wrangler if any. nothing more, better close to the nature.

of course isolated as we are the price are insane and if you look in the past it was already insane but that is the beauty of where we live that has no price.

there is no such a gigas for the record in bc despite moose not knowing border ...

wish you the best in your hunt. that is the best part is preparation.

Up here(Yukon) my favorite way is by canoes, all the gear two guys two canoes( or with my wife and daughter and two canoes) and got for a week long trip downs river or find some lakes we can portage to that other don’t go( or not many anyway)

Just want to say thank for all your input.

Will likely take a Newfoundland bull moose in 2022 and Greenland year after that to complete the Artic Circle merry go round.

Amazingly cost of both will still be cheaper than a Yukon hunt on offer.

And now I need to get on the jungle drums to find a good deal for angry Hippo then i am done.

thank you.
