I just picked up a Browning Buckmark rifle. So far it seems like a great little unit. I would like to put a sling on it and was wondering if anyone here had done that. The rear swivel is a no brainer. Drill, add a stud and good to go. What is the best way to add a stud to the front. Not sure I want to drill the forend for a swivel. How have you guys done it?

Thanks

It's fairly straight forward... but have your gunsmith do it... I don't understand why almost so many gun owners think they can do everything... there is a lot of after the fact evidence to prove otherwise. If your gunsmith screws it up you can rag on him...

I’m not worried about doing it myself. I am comfortable with doing it. My question is around what is the best way to add a front swivel and are there any options that don’t involve drilling the Forend that are a better option.

I ended up going ahead and drilling for studs. There was quite a bit of meat in the forend to do it, more than I originally guessed.
Pretty happy with the overall result.

I always prefer a nut and bolt style front stud when you can do it ... but screw in often is just fine ...
