10.75x68 mauser

that load data shows that caliber should be absolutely adequate for just about anything. bravo!

I really like the round and the vintage M/98 platform...

Varget / 62 / 2105 / 66 / 2240
RL15 / 62 / 2095 / 66 / 2230
N140 / 64 / 2100 / 68 / 2230

347 Gr FMJ (0.423")

only thing missing would be a lighter bullet for deer :).

perhaps one could swage down .427 or .429 bullets and load light? seems like a fun project even if it is 90 percent pointless.

i forgot my woodleigh manual and the 400 gr is going at the initial speed of the 347 grains very interesting and varget of course again.

considering it is woodleigh, very possibly so. logically it almost doesn't make sense but i think it would be great.

You can get 2300+ from a .45-70 with 350 grain bullets... not enough incentive to jump on the 10.75 unless you just gotta have the Mauser bolt action. The incentive would be less about the ballistics and more about the platform... but then, there are better ballistic options in the same platform... long story short, there is little point talking yourself into one by the numbers... better to just say "I wanna play with one."

I have a question: if zastava would build one a10.75 would anyone here be tempted to buy one, at typical zastava pricing or a bit more? I feel like messaging zastava to float the idea even if it’s a long shot. Love to see zastava and prvi collaborate on that one. Hornady and Winchester resurrected 405 I’d sure love a 10.75

Don't waste your time... they wouldn't sell half a dozen and their marketing department would know that... there are probably hundreds of options more attractive from a sales perspective.

maybe it will not feed properly ...post 33 explains it well.

You need to make the mag box or modify the factory one but that is pretty simple. It need to fit the cartridge that's being loaded in it as shown in post 33. You can find the numbers on line. When i did a 300wm to 460 weatherby mag box conversion i have to remove all 4 sides and replace them. Still doesnt fit through the floor plate but i can fit 3 in the mag. A new follower or modify the factory one is ideal to. I forget the numbers but they are easy to find

You also need to work the feed rails and the entire shape and opening of the receiver. Some cartridges are easier then others. Depends on what you start with or convert to.

the 10.75x 68 is history: zastava will say to you oh yes we will build what you want on friday but will forgot about it on monday after votka gone .... and of course you will have to pay in advance for 250 samples at least i will say ... if you ever dealt with communism mind or countries you should ask anthony at tradeex how it s work with the factory ...

How much vodka do the Serbs need to make a run of stainless 458 wm is the question :dancingbanana:

Rem hasn’t imported Mausers in many years, doubt them going bankrupt will change anything

If we’re emailing Zastava let’s all demand the stainless actions come back...

It won't happen. The coating process they used is a Remington proprietary process and the agreement ended with the partnership - which was Remington first attempt to not embark the bankruptcy process...
