I used an 30/06 in Africa and was hooked, that’s where I fell in love with the No1, used 8 cartridges on 7 animals right upto Kudu.
 
I'm a Ruger fan, but I must admit to being a little tired of the frequent "advertising errors" that seem to occur. I'm still pissed off that I never got to buy an XG1...

A .22 rimfire #1? That sounds almost as ridiculous as a C.Sharps in .22 rimfire; the problem is that I had a chance to play with a rimfire C.Sharps for an entire afternoon a few years back and I absolutely loved it. I would snatch up a #1S with a 26-inch .22lr barrel in a heartbeat.

I would love an RSI in 7x57 with great wood!! Or the lightest barrel model(1A perhaps)in the same caliber!i
 
In calibers that already exist, I'd love a 30-06 and a 458 Lott in stainless laminate. Been looking forever for both.

As for a caliber that doesn't exist at the moment, a no 1 in 350 legend in the same style as the 450 bushmaster would be sweet. I would be all over a .22 as well.

I don't believe the No.1-S was ever made in 6.5X55... it was made in the A, B and RSI.
 
I would take a compact, scaled-down #1 in the following 3 calibres:

22 Hornet
32-20
32 S&W Long / 32 H&R Magnum / 327 Federal Magnum

With nice wood and iron sights.

Got a bunch of Ruger No.1's. Have been looking for a stainless/laminate in 25/06. They are out there, but pricy. A couple .280 Rems have came up lately, but managed to keep it in my pants. (Credit card)
 
I'd love one in 6.5x55mm, but I've also got my eye on another at PR. Won't be there long I'm sure but I'm not buying for another month. Need to play cool until then.
 
I wanted a cool No.1 for a long time. I found a great 9.3x74r on EE and it arrived today, gosh darn it feels good. Its got some weight to it for sure with a big pipe like that but it just points so nice. Adding a 1.5x5 VXIII to complete the safari gun look. Its my first No.1 and Im in love.
 
Im still longing forthe 30-30 in my Safe i rekon......... but i think it will be a matter of out with the 303 tube an in with a 3030, one day.
