I might be alone, but I've learned that the FN SCAR will likely be released to the public in 2008. It's not just internet either, I read the same release date in a gun magazine.
I can see this puppy costing $3000, and think I can live with that price. Anyone heard any information on which Canadian Co's are planning to import these?
And yea, I obviously prefer to get my information from more reliable sources than sales reps too, like rumour and small children.

"Bob, we are considering offering a semi-auto version of both the SCAR-L and the SCAR-H perhaps during 07. We will likely offer both the Light and the Heavy with the 3 barrel lengths (CQC, Assault and SV) so you will have the option to change barrels and quickly tailor the gun to meet your needs. I suspect that we will initially offer the SCAR-L in 5.56 NATO followed by 6.8 Rem. The Heavy will be offered initially in 7.62 NATO followed by 7.62x39. All you'll need to do to change calibers is change the barrel, the bolt face and the magazine which takes about 3 minutes. Thanks for your interest. Stay tuned. r, paul"
