I cant find them anywhere. Everyone's saying sold out.
All the other gauges are in stock but nothing in 410 slugs.
Didn't realize they were either that popular or companies dont make much of them ?

Too bad .45 Colt rounds aren't quite the same thing. Depending on the firearm they may or may not be a viable substitution.

I have the Canuck Evolve and it says does not shoot the 45 colt so not even gonna try it plus I'm in a shotgun only deer hunting area so need slugs

Are you saying you hunt deer with .410 slugs? I often wondered about doing this but wondered if there is enough power for clean kills on deer.

Im gonna come fall. I know a few guys that hunt with them and as long as your able to limit your shots to 100yrds or less there not having any probs. Bang flop. My shooting will be 50 urds or less so shouldn't be a prob for me then

Seeing what I have through the years from .410 slugs there is no way I'd use one on anything but varmints. They are in stock pretty well everywhere in my area but the price has taken a large jump up.

I called Corlanes and Hook snd Bullet and none in stock. Being from Ontario google isnt very good at finding gun shops out our way

Iam surprised its legal to hunt deer with a .410, not sure it is in B.C. but being close to .357 mag in power at short range it should work.

Geez I was just in Corlane's last week. The panic is still in full swing. The CT in Dawson had some but they are up to 8.99/box or so for Federal 1/5oz.

I have not tried these on anything bigger than coyote but they are DRT at about 35 yrds. on them.

The problem with 410 slugs is the ballistics - they don't weigh much, and they have a dreadful shape - a Federal Powershok 1/4oz slug is only ~110grains, and has a BC of 0.071. While it has 1775fps and 762ft/lbs at the muzzle, thats down to 1337/1061fps and 432/272 ft lbs at 50/100yds respectively. Personally I can't think of a situation where I would use a 410 slug as my first choice.

Bc is anything centerfire. Probly kill an island deer with a rock if you close enough haha

Sorry, but thats wrong. Page 16 of the synopsis clearly states the following:
NOTES
1 shotgun must have a bore size of 20 gauge or larger
and use shells of shot size No. 1 Buck or larger

OP if you plan on using a 410, I hope you know how to track... It aught to kill, but I wouldn't expect DRT performance on a deer. Personally I'd go with a 20 or 12ga. A single shot 20ga can be had for ~$200, and will give you a significant step up in power. (Federal Powershok in 20ga is a 3/4oz slug at 1600fps, and still has 830 ft/lbs of energy at 100yds, which is more than triple the 410... The 12ga is a 1oz slug @ 1610fps, holding 1262ft/lbs at 100yds, which is 4.6 times the energy of the 410 @ 100yds.)
