I had a dealer mention today a rumour he had heard, that the US was going to stop AR15 exports after Jan1,08.

I have confirmed there is nothing to this rumour.

Posting in case it's making wide rounds.

No no, dangertree there is going to be such a ban, everyone needs to buy as much as humanly possible or else they will be stuck paying large inflated prices. You need to start warning people using advertisements and also put your stock on sale!

Sadly, These rumours, like all others.. sell guns at gunshops.

A dealer who spreads this BS is likey to sell a few more AR's in the short term, but will ruin their reputation in the long run.

I saw this with my own eyes at a gun shop in Ontario couple years ago, before a major change of management - while they were yapping the price of the bushmaster jumped from 1600 to 2200.

Yada yada, buy it before it is banned - that must be 2001 or 2002 Oct/november.
