Browning BAR-DBM

the obnoxious blue kills it... the MAIN reason why I dont want it.

That, and the fact that it’s 8.9lbs without any sighting system, plus I find Brownings (owned by FN) to be heavier than their advertised weights. I’d like to weigh an fnar competition to see what it actually weighs. Either way, the BAR DBM should be quite a bit lighter, better for hunting, for me at least.

Hats off to North Pro for putting in the request, hopefully browning meets it.

I think factory bars are 6lbs 13oz with 22” barrel,
Come in under 7lbs with an 18.5” barrel and a good trigger and I’m interested
Think you euro models come with dbm? Bring them in?

Yep just looked, 18.5” fluted barrel, threaded, open sights, dbm or fixed,,, 6lbs 10oz+-, I’ll take one

Don't know if it matters to you or not, the FNAR is not only a heavy pig of a rifle, but it does not appear to have sling studs. Completely killed it for me when I was looking for a semi auto 308.

I've asked about this before (BAR DBM)...

Now, what is the problem on having a barrel just 20mm longer on them?

you are stuck w 5-round mags. receiver is too narrow for ar or m14 mags. potentially fal, but they are still 5-round. if the same as the fn.

The Outdoor Life review that the OP linked says it has a "high capacity" 10 round mag.
For the foreseeable future, we in Canada will be stuck with 5 round mags regardless.

An offering with a barrel in a 6.5mm calibre and threaded for standard muzzle devices would be nice to see.
