Exactly my picks. Glad I went with a 6 inch for my first revolver. I feel like the long sight radius and weight helps me with accuracy a lot.
 
What are the 2 revolvers you have posted there ?

Prohibited firearms
12(6): handguns with a barrel length of 105 mm or less or that discharge .25 or .32 calibre ammunition

In order to buy one "today", you need to have been in constant possession of another firearm of that type since (I believe) December 1, 1998
- If you just got your PAL, it doesn't matter how much training you take, it doesn't matter how many background check they do... You cannot go out and buy one (Legally)
- If you have a blood relative who owns suchs a firearm, and that said firearm was manufactured prior to 1946. They can "will" it to you. You will then get 12(7) added to your license.

The revolvers are (unfortunately) both 12(6). A S&W M34 in 22lr and a M10 in 38spl.

Someone with a restricted PAL could do something similar with the Ruger. They offer their revolvers with Canadian-friendly 4.2" barrel

Just got back, The K frame is a smaller frame than the L frame, N frame is the big one. The K frame stared life as a 38 s-w , low power, so heavy loads can be hard on it.
Re 4 in guns and shorter, nothing wrong with them, I like a 4 in better than a 6 in, and as I shot it quite a bit and it is tuned, I am better with it.
But short course in Liberial politics, a short barrel gun is a " Saturnight special that gangbangers use, " or some such B.S. according to Allan Rock who was the injustice minister that crawled out from under a rock back in the 1990's and came up with C68.. If you want I have a original copy of that , but if you read it , your head will explode. Better to pour another scotch

Don't lose too much sleep trying to make sense of gun laws. In case you haven't already noticed, there is no rhyme or reason to it.
- Just random stuff they put together.

If you're like most people, your taste/interest will change over time.
Personally, seems like every decade or so, I go for circle. As in, some years it's all about sending lead downrange getting ready to deal with a zombie invasion... Other years, it's about enjoying each shot.
- Right now, I'm in one of those enjoy-each-shot phase... So revolvers and single-shots are seeing more usage.

On another note and it may seem like blasphemy to some but I just watched a YouTube video by GunBlue he is a former police officer and Armourer who worked on S&W’s . In the video he goes over a new Model 19 and seems to have good things to say about it ? On the other hand I think Hickok had one blow up in him ?

Unless you tell me you're a lumberjack with hands the size of bear paws... I wouldn't worry about it.
- Grips are easy enough/cheap enough to replace.

If your intention is to mainly shoot full-power loads, I'd probably buy a Ruger over a S&W... other than that, I wouldn't lose any sleep over this. If you have the $$ to shoot enough rounds to shack it loose, you probably have the $$ to have it fix.

So-call "fragile" S&W and Colt revolvers were shot by countless shooters, for years on end...

One gun I wished I'd kept, was a Colt Officer in 22lr.

Without a doubt Shadow Systems is absolutely friggin amazing. They 100 percent back their no hassle warranty. I had an issue with my Shadow Systems MR918L frame. I called them directly in Texas and followed up with an email and photos. Within 2 days they got back to to me and indicated that they were replacing the frame free of charge. It took a week for Shadow Systems to send a replacement frame to their exporters so it could be imported into Canada via North Sylva here in Ontario as they are the importers for Shadow Systems Firearms. It took 7 weeks from the initial phone call to having the serialized frame in my hands at home and this included the time the Ontario CFO spent registering the frame in my name. I cant wait to purchase their new MR920L when it finally arrives.

I just want to reiterate that dealing with Shadow Systems was amazing. No pointing fingers, no blame game, no hassles at all. They apologized for the inconvenience. Normally Canadians are left to fend for themselves when it comes to a warranty issue not with Shadow Systems. Dealing with a manufacturer that prides themselves on quality products and outstanding customer service makes purchasing their firearms an easy choice.

Easy, none. In Canada you should expect little to no warranty support whatsoever. If you're lucky enough to receive support any repairs you might require will take years to complete by an incompetent gunsmith who will return the firearm in its original "still broken" condition.

Hey, you asked for personal experiences, lol.

This thread started two years ago, (Aug 21m 2019) and the OP still has not bought his handgun and folks are still offering advice.

To the OP Still Alive in his first post gave you sound advice. If after two years you still have not bought your handgun(s) I suspect you likely never will...or did I miss the fact you bought one.

A update to an old thread . I have now purchased a Sig Sauer P320 full size in black finish .
