Hey everyone I am new to this site along with new to shooting.
I am from Halifax Nova Scotia but live in Orleans Ontario right now.
Have done some shooting at EOHC and love it.
I am loving the 10/.22 at this point but sure I will be moving up in the world soon...
Happy shooting!!!

welcome to the boards.
i am not the only maritimer that got transplanted to ottawa woohoo.

dont worry you wiull get into the bigger stuff soon enough, but you cant beat the economy of a .22 :D

Yea I love it at this point I am not good with the recoil thing yet...I am told it will come with time...I am just enjoying the .22 till I am ready to try something bigger :)
What part of the maritimes are you from?

born in halifax raised in dartmouth but i was a navy brat so i spent some time out west as well. my family is all from yarmouth. i should be back east by next spring.

take your time moving to the bigger stuff, after a few thousand rounds of .22 you wont even notice the recoil. if you move to the bigger recoil to soon you will likely devolop a flinch and those are hard to get rid of and makes shooting a very unenjoyable expierience

Technically I don't own one yet I use my roommates all the time.
I don't have my PAL yet going to be working on that soon then going to get my own. hehe
My roommate is going to sell me his cooey 75 as it was the first gun I ever shot.
The next one I will be getting is the 10/22 :)

you know you are in close proximity to Connaught ?
ever wonder what service rifle is all about ?
I and likely others on this board can show ya
let me know if your curious

Once I am ready I will try to shoot anything I can get my hands on that is legal lol
again that is when I am ready...

as a shooter that is the best mindset you can have, if i had more time/ money/ wheels i would offer to take you too stittsville to play with a few of mine if you felt the urge. but i am sure that once you get to know more people on the boards you will find that everyone usualy jumps at the chance to let new people try there guns out.

like it was mentioned when your ready to take your PAL course get the restricted PAL course at the same time and get your restricted PAL, it opens up alot of other fun guns for you to be able to own/use

ever think of joining the reserves?
its too bad my team just had a guest range day.

if not it is a great community we have here between Connaught,EOHC, RA and Stittsville. all good people

Yea I have tried to get into the military about 4 times and they wont take me because I don't have my grade 10...funny thought because I do have a college diploma but they said its not good enought that they need me to have a grade 10 education.
:(

:(

When I got in, Requirement was just 5 grade 10 credits......

Military is funny for that kinda of stuff.... 7 year reserves, 1 tour, 404's ( Mil License ) and crap load of driver qualification's ( air brakes, army/civi ), but taking sweet ass time for me to go full time ( re summited paperwork back in Aug ) and all I want to do is drive trucks...

Try just going in for a GED for Grade 10?

Yea no kidding someone who has tried to get in as much as me should show them how bad I want to be there.
But they will not take me...
Strange as usually harder to find females to go in the first place I would think they would jump on having me in there???
When I tried to get in before it was in Nova Scotia maybe I should try again now that I am in a new province...
