.17hm2 ammo

This calibre goes from famine to feast back to famine again every 2 years or so. I went with Cabela's when they discounted it last time (2019 I think) and bought a couple of thousand rounds.

Good luck with your search, I've not seen any in a store for close to a year now.

I. Found some at the ammo source for a great price but of course like an idiot I waited a day and sold out lol

Last time I was in Cabela's (Barrie) they had some on the shelf. My eyes always light-up when I see it...then I quickly remember I don't have a rifle in 17M2 anymore. lol (looking at one :) )

And the price too! $17.99 for 50 rounds is not very wallet friendly.

I never looked at the price, as I didn't need it. As a rule though, I don't buy ammo @ Cabela's/Bass Pro unless it's on sale, and the "sale" price is actually good. Mostly, I buy target loads (shotgun) if I'm buying any ammo there.

You're right though, $18 is a but nuts for 17M2. lol

Cabelas just had some on the shelf well under the 17hmr price. I want to say $12-14 per box. If I had a gun in that caliber I would have bought some.

Might as well join the unwashed masses and shoot 17hmr at the price.

I am already! I have a ISSC SPA and a Sako Quad in this calibre. Awesome round, but a bit too aggressive for grouse at 100-125M. I buy these too by the thousand when there is a deal on, which is getting rarer and rarer.

I haven't seen it on the shelves in a while, but since I sold my Cooper and the 16,000 rounds of Eley that I had to a fellow that really wanted it bad, I no longer need it. The fellow already had 13,000 rounds, so he likely has one of the largest supplies in Canada.

No he doesnt, thats only less than six cases. A good stockpile for sure but definately not the largest stockpile in Cananda. I have a custom made semi with a custom match barrel and kidd trigger which is deadly accurrate as well as a Savage bolt and a <Volquartsen Pistol that are equally deadly. One can never posses enough gas for the fire if you follow. Get it when its available. No I do not have more than 29,000 rounds but know people that surpass this amount by a fair margin but in multiple brands becuase of their diverse collection of PewPew sticks
