M1 Garand value please

Hello, im looking to sell this Garand i have, but my knowledge of them is sparse at best, so im looking for input as to a reasonable value to ask. The bore is dark, needs a cleaning and has copper fowling but has sharp rifling. Its just a shooter grade but looks complete and cycles fine.

Im looking for a price that will enable a quick sale on the EE, but not a fire sale. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hahahaha. No.

Prices start at $1500. I very happily paid $900 for a loose and rattly mixmaster in 2013 and flipped it for $1100 a few months later. Unless your rifle was substantially worse, you cheated yourself out of hundreds of dollars.

I bought a Breda version in 2003 for $450 at Milarm (edit - it wasn't Marstar - pity Milarm closed). If I hadn't sold it for a song in 2007, just before they became really popular after Band of Brothers and The Pacific, it would probably be good for about $1500 or more. That's an actual Springfield - should go for more. If I had the dough I'd be all over it

On a previous thread I asked the same question , was told 2-3k . If rc k98 are selling for over 1200, I think 2k for a garand isn't anywhere out of line.

Is it a surplus rifle or was it cobbled together from assorted bits and pieces by a hobbyist?

I think his rifle lasted about fifteen minutes , so he priced it for a quick sale.
