Canadian Custom 1911 builders?

I'm looking to get a new 1911 built. Specifically, I'm looking for a commander in 9mm with a more modern aesthetic (tri top slide, maybe some extra slide machining, etc). I've been drooling over the single stack commanders that Triarc Systems makes, but I'm hoping to be able to keep my money on this side of the border. Anyone know of any reputable Canadian builders that would be keen to take on a project like this?

So far I've tried Dlask and they said they pretty much only stick to traditional builds. Also sent an email to Double Tap Sports and Reddnobb - Haven't yet heard back from either of them.

Any other suggestions?

Dlask was my first stop but they said straight up this wasn't their thing (see my original post). So I'm looking for Canadian alternatives...

Mine are Government style, not Commander. One was .40 S&W other .45ACP.

Theres a young guy in london ontario who specializes in custom 1911s. I cant recall his name. His card was posted at the gun club which is closed currently. Hes also done work on higher end shotguns for members of my club. When the gates are unlocked ill see if the card is still there

You could always buy a 1911 that has a frame you like and then send the slide some where and have some custom milling done to it.

There are a few in prince george i think. Ithink a guy named clarence, he used to work with gunnar at armco guns but started his own shop....... i think. Gunner will likely be able to help youout on your quest
