Hi, Adriel, you have tried both the SBI Light Practical Carbine and the MRA Renegade now; do you have a preference between the two? The LPC has a much easier takedown procedure, but the Renegade has spring assist. Thoughts?
The spring assist feels really good on the MRA and there's more nice little flourishes in the machining on it: the magwell's nice and big, etc. Like you mentioned, the SBI straight pull is a lot easier to take down. The buffer tube castlenut isn't really made to be used frequently for takedown/cleaning, so I'd imagine the castlenut and the buffer tube would get banged up a little over time on the Renegade.
I've pre-ordered the MRA Maverick (308 sized action), can't wait to see how that one does.

Thanks! Do you know if the Renegade would function without the spring assist, in the event our gun laws became as Draconian as Australia's? Sounds like you would want the Spectre if shooting corrosive ammo, for ease of cleaning. Thanks again!
I wonder if there is a way to use my Aero enhanced handguard ?or PWS MOD 2 Enhanced Buffer Tube with Ratchet Lock Castle Nut and End Plate ?
