ruger p85 mods

bulletproof pistol though- never had a jam or feed failure, or ejection problems at all even in mid feb weather outside for 6 hours, using lead reloads, and any factory stuff

I will sing with the choir. How so? The Ruger P85 is fine just as it is, the damn things go bang every time. It would be an exercise in frustration to try to glamorize a Ruger. If you want something to customize buy a 1911 or BHP as they have a lot of after market accessories available. Regards, Richard:D

I had mine sent in for the recall shortly just after they first started selling them. I remember it was sent somewhere in Ontario and I got a free mag for the inconvenience . I think I have a * added to show it was updated .

Rebel 3.0, are you saying you have a P85 Mk.1? That nowhere on the slide or the safety, does it say Mk.2? If so, I'd talk to Ruger about getting that addressed.

Nope shes a MK1 for sure Ive done some reading on it. It would be cool to see what you have for a finish product after all that work. Ive heard alot of people talk about wanting the trigger pull reduced but never seen one that was done. So you can mod a p85...hmm LOL

You can get the mk1 to mk II conversion done here. They still give you a free mag. I had mine done last year. They are the only accredited Ruger warranty depot in Canada that I am aware of. It took mine about two weeks.

Btw, my P85 is at the gunsmiths getting the grips, springs, and sights changed. He's smoothed out the trigger and is reducing the pull, too. I can't wait to get it back. I'll post pics when I do.

What type of sights are you going with? grips? parts list ? lol

richard, I dont think Rebel3.0 is trying to GLAM up his P85, if he is I wont let him go to the range with me anymore. :p He just wants to add a different set of sights to his pistol, that he can see better. While searching around I seen you said you had a set of night sights on your p85.

I bought my Ruger P85 MkII in 1992 and it has never stuttered. I have two slides for it: one has ajustable sights and the other night sights. I had enough confidence in it to use it for a house gun for years. Regards, Richard
By chance do you know what brand of night sights you have? as I'm interested as well. Thanks:)
