Hello,

Looking for the pros and cons between these two guns. Was sold on the Sig but now I am taking a serious look at the CZ. A little concerned whether the P320 misfiring issues have been fixed or not.

Anyone that has experience or advice with these two pistols, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I thought I read the latest USPSA Standard winner shot a Legion X5, beat all the 1911's and CZ's. He changed top-ends and won second in USPSA Production optics.
AMU shooters seem to be cleaning up with Legion X5's too. Now I think the rules favor the Sig P320 X5. Trigger a 3lbs, overall weights ect. Tough for other guns to compete with the Sig 320 these days.

A lot of the top guys would still win or place very well no matter what gun they practiced with. For most of us, certain gun attributes can help mask our deficiencies. I’m not saying that’s always a bad thing. Lol!

For someone buying an expensive gun, one thing to consider is if you want an optics ready gun. I’m a recent convert due to eye issues as I age.

You are correct. The regular Shadow 2 is more on par with the Sig in question. I was interested in the more upgraded shadow 2 Orange with the upgraded barrel. Was thinking of going all in on the higher end model. I’m bit of a sucker for that stuff haha

I own both legion and shadow 2 OR, and both with ROMEO 1 Pro on it. Like jimbo14 said, it’s the shooter not the gun that matters, especially for the average shooter. I like both and honestly I like them equally. With the lock down I have to wait till Summer and it’s going to take a few match to decide which one I may shoot better.

If you are just looking for a wicked nice range and target gun, the CZ Tactical Sports Orange is nicer than both the Legion X5 and Shadow Orange. Can't argue with the TSO's 1lb single action trigger and medium sized magwell. (And I have a used one listed in the EE for less than price of a Shadow Orange.)

I wouldn't be so quick to kick the Shadow 2 out. It's the reigning champ and the X5 Legion is the new kid on the block. They both seem like equally - awesome production pistols.

I think it will come down to which one will feel better in your hand.

In terms of price, the soon to be released Sig P320 Alpha is more in line with the CZ Orange

For what it's worth, Lena Miculek uses the X5 Legion. If she can use it fine I doubt you'd have any trouble with it. The Miculek family do be legendary shooters.

Thanks for the advice guys!

Has the P320 Alpha ever been released?
It’s coming in the next few months I understand. Pre-sale has happened from a few dealers at an MSRP of $2150 or so. If you are thinking of the Legion and the price of the shadow 2 orange does not scare you off, you might want to wait for the reviews on this one.

Upgraded barrel, eh?

ok, clearly the cost isn't much of an issue to you, and that freedom is nice. That said, I doubt you'll notice the enhanced accuracy unless you're a high-level shooter. I had my old Shadow milled for a red dot last summer, and that better aiming system cut my groups in half. Same shooter, same barrel, but now able to shoot super tight groups because I can see better. Nothing to do with the barrel. I don't think a better barrel than my 40,000+ round barrel will produce better results than I'm seeing now. The big variable is me. :)

I was recently in a similar position to the OP. I previously owned an x5 legion and the trigger reset was longer than I cared for. I opted for Bul 1911 Target in 9mm and am anxiously await for the TS2 to arrive.
