Hey guys, my father gave me some old ammo boxes from his collection and I'm wondering what they're worth?

In the picture as follows:

Dominion CIL 270win, 303brit, 3030win, 303savage, 22short, 38special (not pictured)
Imperial CIL 410, 303brit
Remington kleanbore 303savage
Ruko target 22lr
Samson 308win
Xelex LTD apparently a Canadian handloading company?
Winchester Legendary Frontiersmen 38-55win x2
Winchester Wells Fargo & Co 3030win x5
Winchester Bicentennial 3030win x2
Winchester Big Bore 94 375win x2
Winchester Klondike Commemorative 3030win
Winchester Little Big Horn 44-40
Weatherby 300wm
Meteror 12ga
Gevlot 12ga
Winchester Xpert 12ga (these look not that old but were thrown in lol)

Some boxes are empty, some have spent brass, some have loaded rounds!

Just looking for any info possible on these, thanks

Nothing really old or rare there, possibly outside of the "Klondike" and "Little Big Horn" boxes. Those I don't recall seeing before.

They are all good collectables to the right collector. The less damage the better as with any thing . 22 boxes sell well , there is a CGN member looking for Dominion boxes ( he has WTB add up on EE now ) good market for Winchester boxes( 2 dollars or more per cartridge depending on how rare the calibre) the commemorative calibres should have all the same right head stamps) . Full nice clean boxes are the best .

Yes actually some do have the correct headstamp, example the bicentennial boxes are full complete and proper headstamp

Resurrecting this thread because I'm at my wits end trying to locate 44-40 ammo. I have one very expensive collector rifle in this caliber and have no plan to fire it due to value but I also have 6 boxes (300rnds) of commemorative 44-40 (NOT FOR SALE!) that I'm saving for the day I may decide to shoot or sell my collector gun. In the meantime however, I have seen a few shooter rifles that I want to get but I can not find 44-40 ammo ANYWHERE. There seems to be new rifles still being produced in this caliber but no new ammo. Surely with all the old shooter guns out there and all the newer production models being released in 44-40 there MUST be someone in the ammo biz that recognizes the lacking supply.

Keep going to the S ont gun shows. I found hundreds of 44-40 and 38-40 loose rds over the yrs. Usually sell for coins per 1 or a few. And yes some selling boxes new 44-40 at $60 per 20, and up.

How about those boxes of Hornady Zombie ammo I bought during the heyday of The Walking Dead? Can I finance my trip to Hawaii with them yet?

(And I already know that the answer is approaching yes, but by selling them as basic ammo, not to collectors. And when I bought them, it was in the belief it was top grade stuff, which it had better be.)

There is a site sponsor with (currently showing) 34 boxes of 40 S&W Z-Max ammo in stock at a reasonable price so it's not completely unobtanium.
