Lee Precision Die Parts

Try Rusty Wood Trading Co in Maple Ridge BC. I did the same to one of my decapping pins and they shipped me some replacements for a good price.

When I first started reloading, nearly 50 years ago, I used a Lee Loader kit for 30-30. Then I graduated to the big time with a new Lyman Spar-T turret press. I bought RCBS die kits for 30-30 and 8x57. One of the first things I managed to break was a decapping pin. I used the decapping tool from the Lee kit, and have done that ever since. I have one for .223, same deal. After thousands of decappings, I even managed to bugger up the original .30 cal tool, but was able to buy a new one at Cabela's in Regina.

I decap all brass with the tool now. I enjoy reloading, and that's just part of the deal. If I was shooting in contests where a big amount of ammo was being expended, then I would likely change my tune.

Lee's customer service has been good for me with free replacement parts. Go to their site and file a claim with a picture and they've always just mailed out a replacement at no charge. They are back right up though with the current political mess.

If you're rushed just get someone to drill the end of your rod with a sub 60 thousand drill bit ( # 54 or so ) and glue the shank of the drill bit back into the hole . I had to do this when I got my first batch of small flashhole brass . Did this several years ago while waiting for small pin rod , drilled it on a lathe , J B epoxy and I'm still using it today .

Tried to get parts from Lee about 2 years ago. $4 sleeve for my press handle. Was told they no longer provide free warranty to Canada. Shipping was $48 US plus duty and brokerage.
Needless to say I made a sleeve in about an hour from a piece of pipe as I couldn't justify $100 shipping and handling on a $4 part. Since I have switched to RCBS and no issues and small stuff is free, all in.

Well, I just fragged the decapping pin in a 30 caliber Lee collet neck sizing die. Where the hell can a guy get replacement parts?
Not sure about the collet decapping dies but the decapping pin on Lee carbide pistol dies are all the same so if you have another Lee die set you can swap out the decapping pin rod until you can get a replacement. Burton Urnie is correct. Buy a couple of spares. Eventually you'll need them.

That's terrible news. I'd tell them they just made you an RCBS customer. Or I will when I need warranty next.
