I am looking to buy a magazine charger for a 10/22. Machining on the mags and cold weather are both hard on fingers.

Caldwell magazine chargers have attracted my attention. Any comments on this or other mag chargers for the 10/22 are appreciated.

The Butler Creek ones work okay for the BC brand mags if you go slow and follow the directions. My cold weather solution is to buy lots and lots of mags when they're on sale and load them all in my nice warm house the night before the range trip.

I am using factory mags, rather than the Butler Creek jobs.

do yourself a favor and get an HCMAG. better than anything I have ever seen. yes you will have to make a small notch in your receiver to please the popo or get a TUff receiver

I had bad luck with those in a brand new tuff receiver. After 1000’s of rounds on that receiver, I went back to them and they’re great.

it is possible to not load them properly and they wont work.

the first round has to be pushed up by the other rounds and not be able to wiggle.
