Would anyone know what the lifespan of a g36 bolt would be? Aside from the barrel and bolt, what other parts would typically be the first to wear out?
You would be hard pressed to find someone in Canada with first hand knowledge of this considering the amount of G36's in Canada could be counted on my fingers and toes.Would anyone know what the lifespan of a g36 bolt would be? I found an article about that. 24,000 rounds. That ain't bad.
Considering with the piston there is much less heat in the upper receiver, I'm guessing the barrel fails before the bolt. 24000 rds sounds about right for a barrel.
We abused our work G36s. Shorty models with B&T suppressors. Training cycles, requals, courses and Dog and Pony demos...they were crazy reliable and the internals showed virtually no wear when cleaned. I hated those guns so I was extra mean to mine. I doubt any privately owned guns could be worn out by a normal range use.
Why did you hate them?
