Hi guys,

I have just barreled my 308 to a 260 and wondering if anyone has experience with the 144 Berger LR hybrid projectile. I have H4350 and was planning on starting at 39grains but since I am new to the caliber I thought I would check and see if anyone had some experience and would share.
Thanks

I have a box but haven't shot any yet in my 260. I really like RL16, gives more velocity than 4350.

Is the rifle a 2.8" mag box?

I did some Berger 144gr hunting rounds for a 6.5x55 with RL22, worked extremely well in both an old CG swede and Tikka. Think the 260 is very similar, but stand to be corrected.

I've never had huge succes with max velocities, always seem to get better accuracy (repeatability) with just less than max loads (70-80%).

You're on the right track w/ 4350 burn rate powder in your 260 Rem.

What twist & length is your Bbl?

Good evening
Thanks for the reply
My barrel is finished at 24 inches and it's a 1 in 7.5 Krieger
I got out on the weekend and shot 40 grains of H4350 with the 140 Berger and got a very tight group for first time out.
Still have yet to load any of the 144 Berger's up
