I'm sitting at the vet's yesterday, waiting for him to come in and put me down. So I start flipping through the magazine stack, and find the November 2007 issue of National Geographic. I open it to the contents, and an article catches my eye. I flip to it, and my jaw hits the floor.

One of the biggest magazines of all time, known for the highest quality photographs, and appeals to the tree-humping masses published a pro-hunting article! It explains in cold hard numbers the dollars that hunters contribute, the work we do and show the public were not Bambi killing monsters! I'm going to the store to buy an issue today, I suggest you all do the same. Way to go NG!

We've subsribed to it for many years, a family tradition. Yeah, I saw that same article, it was nice to see something pro-hunting in such a well know publication. A while back, an issurance company was advertising in NG, their catch phrase was that cars kill more kids than guns do, something along those lines.

May make for some interesting letters to the editor next issue.

Good article that covered several situations where hunters and hunting is a proven benefit to wildlife.

Read this article a while ago. It talks quite a bit about ducks unlimited. I think if you do a search on the National Geographic website you'll be able to find and read it.
