hammer less 20 ga?

What are some reco's on good and inexpensive hammer less single shot 20ga

My son uses a hand me down 20 but he really struggles with the thumb strength on the hammer.
Im too cheap to get him a pump for the 2x year he uses it.

They were on my radar but the reviews on Cabelas say not good things...
i have no clue how accurate that is though???

Any of those Turkish single shots are decent, they usually come in a version with hammer and one without. I agree on the Baikal if you can track one down. They are built like a tank, and have a cool decocker feature.

Baikal has no hammer and a side safety, that's your best bet. Look for a clean used 20ga in the $150 to $220 range.

That was exactly my price range.

It seems there is consensus on the Baikal. Now to find one ??

Local fellow bought a Pallas. Didn't work from new. I spent a fair bit of time getting it to chamber and shoot.

Another vote for the Baikal, the model you're after is the 18. Very solid gun, and they come up on the EE fairly often.

If you can't find your 20ga, I have a Baikal in 410 that I'd sell you.
