More Remington Model 725

A nice Remington Model 725 I bought off the EE showed up. This one from 1961 and in 243 Winchester which is fairly uncommon. Sights were removed but otherwise in very good condition. Shot some 100 gr factory ammo out of it today and it looks promising. Looking forward to trying some handloads. Just wanted to share.

The bore is minty as is the rest of the gun. Few marks on the floor plate but that’s not anything serious. I love the old stuff when it looks like it came out of a time capsule.

Sounds like a 300H&H or 308 Norma mag to me.

Already have rifles in both of those. I was thinking maybe another 7mm Wby, I don't currently have one. Or another STW. That is a great hunting cartridge. - dan

I have a 725 in 30/06 that I got from Rembo a few years back . It's a consistently accurate rifle that's become one of my favourites , mostly because it fits me and points so well .
