Kriss Vector SPD rifle 22LR 669.00USD Just received....

Seemed like a legit question. And how is asking a question turned in to being a narc?? Just because I have concerns about something that could effect a retailer I have used in the past and might again in the future???
I would assume that dropping a question in here that was meant more for protecting the companies that help stand
up for us as legal firearms owners would be the right thing to do....
Pretty sure some folks on here have their MAGA hats that are lined with tinfoil, done up a little too tight.
Looking at you THE_SASQUATCH

I might be wrong, but if there is no frt, and they are not built in canada...isnt it illegal to import them into canada?

The way an frt is made is somebody imports them and sends one to rcmp lab for testing. It’s not like the rcmp are buying and importing themselves to test. So there must be a process to import before the frt.

Now selling is a different issue.

Many dealers have licenses to bring prohibited examples in Canada for LE and Military purchases.

My guess, if the State Political Officers whimsically decide it’s restricted, the examples will be sent back South.

So, whose signature is this FRT waiting on?

Not particularly impressed with how long it's taking for this to come to market, considering the fact Aussies, Kiwis and Brits already have them in hand.

Is there anyone we can contact to help move this forward?

Is there any potential legal consequences for you if you sell me this rifle now? Meets the definition of NR and I'm willing to take my chances with the boys in the yellow stripes.

Can anyone show me ANYTHING written where a firearm MUST HAVE an FRT to be imported in canada?...

...didnt think so.

Not looking at you IRG, you're a business and want to keep things bulletproof/above board...

This is aimed at the ignorants throwing sheet out there with no basis.

You may not need an FRT, but without one CBSA would just send the gun to RCMP gun lab so that they clear it....and then they'd create an FRT entry for it anyways.

FRT is out as restricted rifle. am guessing the stock fold.

I'm confused, the pre-order I made one year ago (with another dealer, mind you) was for an SBR version that has a pinned stock to guarantee NR status.

Did they manage to somehow ##### this up as well?

I did the same... it's being looked into. I also thought it was a fixed, pinned stock. Wait and see I guess.

There's even a specific model for the pinned version: Vector 22 SBR FXD (FXD as in, Fixed)

This is straight out of a pdf on Kriss' website.

Leave it to the RCMP "experts" to screw this up.

I'm convinced the RCMP was looking for a way to restrict the magazine limit "Oh look a restricted pistol version... 10rnds for everything that accepts its mags."

I'm hopeful a non-restricted SBR is still coming but now we have this magazine size junk to live with.
