CZ 527 Carbine models

Thanks guys for the scope setup info. That's going to save me a lot of trial and error.

I tried it for the first time today with the iron sights. Even with just the irons, this rifle is a pleasure to shoot! (and cheap to feed)

Leupold 3-9x40 and med CZ 527 rings are a perfect fit for me.
Any ideas on what the new style triggger guard assembly is made of then?
It looks very much like CZ’s recently discontinued M1 rifle, if you look closely on a current carbine you’ll see a finger cutout on the bottom of the stock opposite the cutout on the bolt handle side, you know, the divot in the wood that lets you get a better grip on the mag to remove it.
The M1 trigger guard has no web/ gusset to allow for a 3 round mag, the M1 wasn’t offered in 762x39.
I believe their philosophy was to provide for a single-handed carry using the almost flush 3 rounder.
Im now wondering how the new material and coating will hold up to wear, is it paintlike and will chip or ?

Keep the scope light(mine weights 9.5ozs) love it, super fun little gun....had mine out on the lake today hitting 6x6 inch ice blocks off hand out to 200 yards with Chinese surplus :)

Does anyone have a 2-7X scope (in either 32mm or 40mm) mounted on their recent model 527?

If so, which scope do you have and which rings and height did you use?

I am looking at the lowest possible configuration that still clears the bolt handle and the rear sight.

Thanks.
(Leupold Freedom 2-7x33)
I have the old style bolt handle and it won't clear with warne medium rings, so now I'm looking at getting a new style bolt handle for it.
Or taking a grinder to the old bolt handle.

Our Crappy Tire cares low end air rifles and mall ninja air soft guns. We do have ammo, and surprisingly, usually everything I need--but their collection of personal information protocol turned me off.

Very nice little carbine, I got a 21 year of production in a walnut stock. Get one while they still can be found in stock..

The problem with these little carbines is the first time you feed it milsurp, you will be overwhelmed by guilt in feeding it such sh!t ammo and then hunt down 7.62x39 dies and loading components.

First time I had mine out after 5 or 6 rounds through rear site blade fell off into the snow. Still can't believe I found it! Anyways add that to the list of things to check. Broke in with non corrosive surplus and ready to start load workup! Awesome little rifles. I want one in a 6.5 Grendel already.

I must truly be a terrible person as I feel absolutely no guilt feeding cheap surplus down range using my 527 lol! But then I do have a few rounds sitting on the shelf😀
