Recently got a non-matching and non-refurbished 1938 TT33 that came with a slide and barrel off of a 1933 TT30. Interestingly the hammer package is factory matched to the frame and the barrel matches the slide. I thought some people might appreciate a picture since the barrels with 1/2 locking lugs are quite scarce and seldom seen.

I've been reading that the early TT have this relatively frequently, bu there's no info how this happened. Would be reasonable to assume this was done when a repair was required. I have a 1935 with such a barrel (force matched)

From what I've read, barrels like this were only made in 1933 and reportedly very early 1934. During production the design was quickly changed to the full locking lugs for ease of manufacture (both styles are interchangeable).
