X95 magazine that came with rifle is garbage!?

If I paid close to 3 grand for a rifle and it came with anything less than it should (or anything lesser quality) I would be pissed.

Any dealers involved in swapping out the factory mags for some knock offs should be rightfully called out and shamed.
 
This is the vendor doing a switch to try and make a few bucks, please name them, as this isn’t right.

What dealer please? Wondering if anyone else used al Flahertys. Not sure why anyone is withholding where they bought them from. If the retailers didn’t
Do anything wrong then listing their name is no big deal. I’m not really sure wether or not mine came as it was supposed to or not. But I can’t imagine IWI giving a chinese bag and a tapco mag. But then again I’m not sure why they typically supply a metal mag instead of an IMI. So who knows.
 
I just got my x95 last week from a local retailer. I'm pretty new to firearms so I didn't think twice about what I received with my 3k purchase. I grabbed a few 10rd mags the same day and so I didn't really closely look at the mag it came with. Now that I've read this thread I'm a little disappointed. The mag it came with does have huge pins and it doesn't actually feed all the way and lock into place. Even without locking it's so tight I have to yard it out of there. I also did not receive a manual and I got a cheap green soft case not anything branded IWI. I will be reaching out to my retailer now.

It almost sounds like the retailers in question made some kind of a deal with the supplier/distributor, where they bring in the Tavors with nothing (no case, no manuals, no mags) in order to get a better deal?
Or maybe it was some kind of a scratch & dent batch from IWI, that did not meet the QC and was heavily discounted?

Once the Tavors arrive, they slap them into some cheap knock-off cases from Wish.com, throw in Crapco mags and Bob's your uncle.

I hope that is not the case, but it sure sounds fishy.
 
duramag mag sells for $29. the difference is minimal. makes no sense to squeeze an extra $10 on a $3000 gun.
 
I emailed my retailer yesterday and I will follow up after I hear from them. I did some.more.sewrxhing after this thread and watching some unboxing videos it seems that x95 in the usa do not even come with a case just boxed. Another video I saw a similar case to the one I was given but there was also a proper manual pack and the mag looked of better quality in clear plastic and not wrapped in brown wax paper.

3k! I want what I paid for. It was an online order and so it’s easy to get taken advantage of. I buy a lot of guns so if I find out the retailer decided to make a couple bucks extra off me I’ll avoid them in the future. That’s the most important thing to me, just want to know if they are trustworthy before they get any more of my business.

I emailed IWI directly to find out what’s what. Will follow up with their response if I’m given one.

The profit margins on selling guns is tiny, most of the money is made on accessories and ammo, our industry is being crippled by the government, so of course shops/ distributors are pinching penny’s to stay afloat.

At the end of the day the price between a cheap mag and the mag offered is like $10 or less, you guys are sending emails to manufacturers, importers, shops and distributors over a $10 freebie, personally 1 hour of my time is worth atleast 3x more than 10$, so I would consider this a total waste of time.

But hey, if you wanna get your panties in a bunch over nothing, more power to you.

it seems you dont know what banter means cos they werent bantering.
i mentioned the $10 cos i cant makes sense of swapping over $10, it could be one cent for all they care. when it seems most everybody are getting the usa made mag and they were getting something else, they have the right to find out why.
