X95 magazine that came with rifle is garbage!?

The Canadian way take it up the bummy and say it could be worse. That's why we are in the mess we are in.

That's not the point, when you pay 2-3k for a high quality rifle that includes a magazine, one should expect that magazine to be of decent quality.
If the retailer or (more likely) the importer is pulling out the factory magazine and replacing them with cheap Chinese mags (which in my experience, never work to begin with in any gun) just to squeeze an extra few bucks out of a sale by selling the good mag from the X95 on the side, then that is scummy business practice and should be called out.
Take a look at this picture, on the left is what SHOULD come with the X95, at least it came with it in the early imports, steel body mag with a crimp for the follower, fits, feeds well in everything.
On the right is a trash Norinco magazine that comes in the brown wax paper that I cant get to work in any rifle in anything more than a couple of shots.
I'd like to see if anyone in this thread who got a garbage mag can confirm that the magazine on the right is what they received, double giant rivets and all?

can you post a pic of the crimp cos mine dont look like yours. mine actually has two dents on both sides about 2" from the top. like i said, its really dents to 5.

Its a tiny little press that catches the follower. That's the only thing to limit it but because the steel is so robust, its a really secure limiting.

I spend plenty. That’s not the point. I absolutely did not care for the chicom mag and nor should I. It is people with your mentality that will only make things worse. Consumers need to demand what is reasonable and when paying 3 grand what was offered was not...
I think you are absolutely right in your assessment. I went to do a pick up of an order at my LGS today and asked the manager about the X95 magazine as he very much knows I am itching to buy one (the X95 that is, not the magazine itself). He confirmed that yes, depending on the batch, some of them comes with the polymer mag (which presumably is the factory included one) whereas others have come with the cheap Norinco one. He indicated some customers who have bought multiple have them come with different mags. If this happens to you, it is not the fault of the LGS. Of course, it will be hard to pinpoint and make an accusation unless there is irrefutable evidence - so not sure in this case what avenues a consumer has. I agree, for this price, it should come with everything as built and configured from the factory. How would you feel if you bought like a 75" 8K flat screen TV from Samsung or LG or whatever, and the remote is like a universal remote from GE. The minimal value of the remote is not the point - it's that when you pay that much, you expect to get what you paid for. Remember, unlike something from Costco that is pricy and didn't come come as outfitted or has some defect, it's not like you can just refund the whole firearm and accessories for a full refund.

I got a PWS MK111 rifle. On all the advertising from PWS, I see a Lancer mag, but the one I got here in Canada came with a Tapco mag.
Im not sure how the Tapco compares vs the Lancer, but really seems like there was a switch at some point.
