Hi guys, apologies if I missed the post elsewhere, I’d like to find a conversion barrel for a Sig P226 40 S&W to 9mm. I’ve read several accounts of folks merely dropping in a stock Sig 9mm barrel without issue but would like to price the option of proper barrel with the correct width barrel hood. Thanks guys, again sorry if this is a repeat. Bill

OP,
Purchase a P226 9x19 top end/Cal X Change kit & don't look back.

Or,
DO NOT cry/##### when the extractor chips/breaks relying on the 357/40 extractor holding the 9x19 case head against the slide's breech face upon firing.

2 experiences w/ EFK Fire Dragon 9x19 Bbls in a P226357/40 slide-
Acquaintance took Bbl & breech measurements from SIG 357/40 Bbl & slide for EFK to duplicate for a 9x19 Bbl.
6 months later 9x19 Bbl shows up-
+.008" headspace & +.013"breech lock up clearance.
acquaintance returned first Bbl to EFK w/ measurements....again.
8 months later #2 9x19 Bbl shows up-
different Bbl w/+.013" headspace & +.008" breech lock up clearance.

Bbl returned for a 100% refund.

Acquaintance purchased a SIG Cal X Change kit in 9x19 for his P226 & is smiling to this day.

Had the Barstow conversions (x 2) from .40 to 9mm and they were excellent. Dimensions were correct and worked properly.

Dan did you experience chipped or broken extractors? I did not read that in my surfing. Thanks for the ###### tip. My preference would be the caliber exchange kit but I don’t think that they do that for the Legion models. I’ll probably end up buying another Legion in 9mm. Thanks again guys! Bill

Both EFK Bbls were not fired as critical dimensions were oversized.

Others,as mentioned have had good luck w/ Barsto conversion Bbls.

I've never had an extractor issue in any of my SIG Classic P's in 30+ years,as I have top ends for each caliber-.22LR,9x19,9x21,357SIG,40S&W for P226's.
