You think the indigenous governance will be more oppressive than federal? I guess it really depends on who is in office. Kudos though, to the people emancipating their stolen land.
LOL
You have never had to deal with an Indian Band have you

With the Liberal's, NDP, Indians and the tree hugging crack heads, BC is doomed. I visualize hunters, anglers, camping and OHV users becoming barred from these places; not unless the new landowners are compensated monetarily, accompanied with many restrictions.
X2.
I explore for and bring gold mines into production and have done so on 4 plus a 5th that will probably be built shortly. Our head office is in Vancouver and every year we spend $50 - $66 million US looking and testing new ones.
We will not even look at a project in BC because the politics are too risky. It's very sad.

41% of crown land is owned by the Feds, while 48% is owned provincially. I suspect this only applies to provincial land?
Or, tried getting paid for work done.

I have a number of times, and no issues at all and would do again in a heartbeat..... that being said I have been left cheated by more white people than any other visible or non visible minority.

Bc won’t exist in the future. All the native groups want literally 110% of the land in this province. Most of these groups argue between themselves out of jealousy because one band might have more resources to make more money then the next.
Most bands can’t even fairly dole out money between their own members. Some live very wealthy lives while another family lives in a dump just down the street because of blood lines or because their family isn’t on councel.
Mark my words, the natives will eventually have everything and still won’t be happy and will still want more.
The province is in trouble. It’s pretty bad when a hunter goes out on a solo hike in trip only to be confronted by natives on horses and told that your being watched and to get the hell off their land while flashing their guns strapped to their saddle. That’s what happened to me last season. How can everyone gat along and work together when there’s two sets of laws based on race
