I managed to find a couple Volquartsen left hand over sized safeties last summer. They fit into the KIDD trigger groups wonderfully, so I can't see why they wouldn't fit a standard 10/22. They have been discontinued, but try contacting Sylvester Sporting Goods in Bonnyville, AB. They managed to find me a couple!
An AR-style rotating safety works great with ambidextrous handles, but the idea of a 10/22's usual cross-bolt safety being flipped around scares me, live-to-fire when a normal 10/22 would be safe and vice-versa. Good thing we unload and show clear when a firearm actually needs to be safe.

These must be new and have to do with the Ruger model 31110, or basically a Ruger Custom Shop production left handed 10/22.
Just a word of warning. If you remove the original safety, there is a spring and plunger under pressure that can fly out. The pieces are small and can be hard to find. Its also a difficult task to get it back together and requires a tool or home built one. Should be able to push the new left handed one in while pushing out the right handed one.
