Canuck Pump Action Shotguns, got one?

Tempted to buy the barrel extension for maximum flexibility. For those that asked, the Turkish-made tactical stock is very good quality.

Ive got one, some of the finish has worn off, i carry it daily in the woods around my house which is grizzly infested, i use it often and completely trust it, it looks rough thats all

That is also my experience. Because it works so well, I had mine Cerakoted. It looks better now and is more weather proof (barrel, mag tube, etc.)

$230 (included disassembly of mag tube from action)

Nice, it's a good looking finish.

I just got a Commander from a member on here, haha I've converted it a little though, it's more of a Suggester now. Love the feel of the 14" barrel, really easy to handle and point.

Removed heat shield and swapped out the foreend for the shorter magpul style one. The shorter one allows me to run a side saddle without interferences from the fore-end sliding over the receiver.

Couple questions for anyone:
What's best way to mount sling to the Commander pistol grip stock? There is a sling stud on the magazine cap but didn't see anything for the other end. I know I could weave the sling through the gap in the stock frame but I want something I can remove reasonably quickly. Should I just drive one of those Mikes sling studs into a nice thick spot I can find?

On the magpul style fore-end are those slots M-Lok compatible? Now that I have them in hand they look a little too small. Suppose I could always enlarge them if not.

The Commander rear sight has some front to back wiggle. Does this affect accuracy much in practice? Any tips to tighten it up?

Update:
As I suspected those slots are not wide enough (in profile).

Debating what to do now. I was really hoping to get an M-lok compatible light on there (Odin Mini). I feel that I could probably modify that fore-end, just want to do it carefully enough so that it looks ok.

Perhaps only modifying the slots I intend to use is the best idea. Could be as simple as reaming out two spots with a drill bit wider than the current channel, allowing the anchor spots to drop in, then slide mount down to different location and cinch it up.

The standard commander fore-end has full-size M-Lok it looks like but I'm not a fan of the chunkiness and I lose the option for the side saddle with that one.

Or is there a good mag-tube based solution for getting M-lok on there?

The short pump forends are so inexpensive, I wouldn't hesitate to open-up, ever so slightly, one of the slots. I also have an RX Arms hand stop. It is definitely M-lok compatible. You may want to consider adding one for both safety reasons and for use of the slot. Bullseye sells them for $14. Can't beat that. Doesn't your buttstock have M-lok slots on it? If your Commander shoots as well as it looks, you have a winner. If the rear sight wiggles, remove it. There are aftermarket options that should attach to the Picatinny rail.

Thanks, yeah at the price I won't feel too bad modifying that fore-end if that ends up making more sense.

The front sling mount looks nice but unfortunately the M-Lok slot runs on the wrong axis to mount the light (needs to run parallel to barrel and mag tube). What's the safety rationale? I assume something along the lines of losing grip and getting a hand in front of that muzzle?

Good idea on the sight, I actually like the Ghost site fundamentally, I want something dependable and not needing a battery. Wonder if it's best to get another pic rail on there, the ghost ring is integrated into that rail and I lose a lot of room to it.

Edit:
Oops missed those M-lok slots on the stock :). That's right, I can get a QD or stud adapter in there.

Update:
Was able to get the Odin Mini mounted. Ended up going with a direct mount rather than the included M-Lok. Needed to drill one extra hole to make that work but its covered by the light.

Feels relatively good, I'm left handed and I notice just a small amount of interference on my index finger.

Think I'll try some test shots when I can and make sure things are generally stable. If they seem good I'm going to add a small amount of spacers to lift the light about 1/4" further off the foreend to allow my index finger to slip under rather than getting jammed up.

Proof will come in the testing. Currently my index finger gets some interference, everything else unaffected.

If that proves problematic I'll lift the light up another quarter inch so my fingers fits under completely. The connecting portion of the light body is small and in the middle of the body. So if it is lifted it creates a free passage where my fingers go.

If I end up lifting it, I will probably go a little further and make an adapter plate so I can use the existing mounting holes but shim the light further ahead so it is closer to the muzzle.
