Maple, please shoot some Rimfire PRS matches so we can attach the proper significance to your know it all presentation. Even the outlaw matches would do. If you finish very well then maybe we will all apologize for questioning you. If not, we’ll my mom is nicer to listen to and just as useful.

emerson,

Let me ask you a question... If you had the actual rifle and reload recipe of the top PRS shooter from last year, do you honestly think you would have a snowballs chance in hell of becoming the next top PRS shooter for 2021? How about the next match at Meaford?

Guys can quibble about this and that, but its naïve to attach correctness of one point to how a person ranks in a match. 90 percent of the shooters out there are not in the top 10 percent and will never be regardless of the gear they use. For most, a simple change in gear is meaningless to how they will perform. Quality gear just makes it more fun.

The top shooters I know personally live exclusively on properties where they can quite literally shoot out the back door. If a guy has to drive an hour or two to get to a range, it is foolish to assume such a person will regularly outshoot someone who can practice from the back porch. That does not make him stupid. Does the guy who lives on a farm become more intelligent because he can practice every day?

I had a conversation with Keith Baker a while back where he told me he shoots 30,000 rounds a year, Dave Preston told me he shoots over 8,000 rounds a year. How many guys do you honestly think can afford the time and money it takes to compete at that level?

So to your point, am I to assume everyone in this web sight including yourself must be wrong about everything because they are all not top ranked PRS shooters?

BTW, how many awards from shooting events do you have?

Well let’s not turn this into that. But I have had wins in all types of shooting sports. Including PRS. Ipsc idpa 3gun and even PPC. PRS is my game now. Last year I spent more time coaching the shooting for results. And frankly watching a student be the best in Ontario was better then winning.

Covid willing I will be shooting a few bigger matches this year and have a few barrels ready to kill. I hope we can meet on the field some day to talk about the legends we think we might be lol. I too question everything and try to find ways to solve problems.

Are you referring to Brett?
He's the best 22LR PRS shooter in Canada for 2020.

If you have been coaching him, this is the first I've heard of it.

I don’t have any awards from PRS, Rimfire or not. My guess is you and I have the same amount of them. Therefore, our opinions have equal weight. Shoot a few matches. If you are any good I will attempt to learn from you. I’ve know a few folks who had an attitude like yours. Very occasionally they were also very good at their chosen activity. Generally, more attitude equals less performance.

No, he's talking about his nephew, a youth shooter.

And Yanick or Kevin N both rank higher then Brett.

My nephew won every JR match he shot in 2020. And overall he finished 9th in all divisions combined. It even landed him a sponsorship.

So where did you place Maple?

Your guess is about 40 times not correct.

Maple, I did actually forget my single podium finish in CRPS production class. I placed 2nd!!!!... in a class of 3.... Oh well, there is always 2021.
