Anyone received the Walther PDP yet? Thoughts?

I am looking for info from people that actually own or have shot the Walther PDP in either the full-size or compact. I have a PPQ M2 5 inch and absolutely love this gun. Just wondering if its worth upgrading. The online reviews seem promising but I would rather listen to my fellow CGN'rs opinion.

Yes ran one for 2 weeks back in October. I too have PPQ's and love them. The PDP is an upgrade in all aspects better in every way than the PPQ.
I am upgrading to the PDP's....it's that good.
Only crappy thing, the PDP Fullsize does not share the same mags as the PDP Compact / PPQ / Steel Frame guns. It's a bigger mag as in the duty
versions holds 18 rounds.

I have been eyeing the compact with the 5 inch slide since it will accept my PPQ mags. The PPQ trigger is amazing so I cant wait to try the PDP trigger. Glad to hear positives things.

Looking forward to these as well but will hold off until different frame and barrel combinations are avail. The only versions i've seen so far are the 5" barrel with compact frame and the 4.5" barrel with full frame. I'd like to see the reverse.

I really want to pick one up. I have had a PPQ M1 with the paddle mag release for about 7 years now, I've put thousands of rounds through it and shot competitions south of the border with it. It's an amazing pistol, far better IMO than my Glocks. I also grabbed a PPX because the price couldn't be beat. I really wish I could get the PDP with a paddle mag release, but I realize there is not a lot of demand for that style magazine release in North America.

Go to the Walther USA webiste, fill out their on-line form, you need the make / model / serial number of your gun. They forward it to the Canadian Distributor and they send you a plate.

Got a full size 4.5" one in limbo with the CFO, looking foward to it. They fixed all the reason i sold my PPQ so it should be a winning ticket for me.

I just ordered one from Calgary Shooting Centre, as they had the full-size that I wanted, in stock. I have been watching this one ever since it hit the US market and am convinced that it will be a winner. Not a single negative review, not even any "cons" noted by the various YT reviewers. Very impressive in all regards!

What didn't you like about your PPQ? I have both the "plastic" and SF PPQ Q5 matches and love them both. What is so much different between the PDP and the PPQ that it's worth the switch?
