Bear back from taxi

[Species8472]

This was a bear i took while early season deer hunting last fall. Taken by crossbow (Matrix 380) at 22 yards.

Pic with my noggin beside for scale, my face is actually closer to the camera so the bear looks smaller than it actually is. Skull green scored 19 5/8 inch. Still in my freezer - plan is to do my own euro mount with it:

Beautiful mount. I do prefer the calm look on bear over the aggressive full teeth mount. Crossbow kill too, it just keeps getting better.

Shoulder mounts seem to be a bit unusual for bears, actually work well, I had one of my wolves done that way.

There are very few taxidermists who can do a really good job of that. it usually ends up looking ridiculous.

Wow that's a super deal as I wasn't expect it will cost less than getting a rug done.

It's really tempting and now you make me wants to go after Spring bear hunt even knowing I will be eaten alive by bugs lol.
