Haven't talked to anyone who has seen a black bear in north western Ontario yet . Anybody else seeing any and if so , where ? We seem to be getting an early spring so i think they'll be out soon .

I did not see him - garbage spread across road at neighbours two mornings ago (morning of Apr. 5), younger one / smaller one - tracks in mud beside my truck, along the garage, same night. Western Manitoba - about 51 North, within 15 miles of Sask border.

Have six cameras out, on 100 acres just north of Orillia On.
No pics or sign as of last wknd. Some snow in the bush/shade still.

This is our first of the year - Carleton Place just west of Ottawa on April 8th
Usually there are 3-4 on the property

Apparently some say there out in Sudbury ....but all I see is the stupid dummies/zombies that are all cracked out begging for money and breaking and entering homes for money...

Snow in the bush is now gone.
Still no pics or sign of bear April 10.
I had six individuals, I could recognize, on camera last year.

Guess what, it is snowing here, started last night , still at it, Like a fool I had put the shovels away, and put the summer tires on the truck.
still have gas in the blower.
But no bears around here, bunny rabbit and gophers is all.

Neighbour up the road who does multiple miles a day with their two dogs has seen 5 or 6 so far this Spring - a cinnamon coloured seen once, Sow with one cub, Sow with two cubs. We are not too far from Dropmore, Manitoba - probably going to have to GoogleMaps where that is...

Mild, dry spring here. 71 degrees F last Saturday.
No flood in the river this year, 'cause the bush has been melting for some time now. IMHO
Maybe spring is just too short. I was snow shoeing about a month ago.
Also seems we just go from summer weather straight into winter with little or no fall.

Two years ago the person I bought my property from and all the neighbours warned me about all the bears in the area.

Two years on have not seen a single one nor captured one on multiple game cams
