Tightgroup & 147 gr

Looking for a load for my SP01 9mm. I wish to use tightgroup with 147 gr plated. Also looking for OAL for this as well.

Read that some guys are using unique and Clays. Details and range reports please.

I found TG to be too snappy.

I load 3.9gr under the 147gr CMJ and that gives a PF of 137.72.

Velocity was 937fps.

The feel is a push and not a snap.

I load my 9mm rounds for my G17 using 147 grn FMJs as follows:
OAL = 1.135" max length.
CCI or WSP primers
TG = 3.4 - 3.9 grns min/max

Start from the min and work your way up.
Never chrono'd my 9mm loads YET, but I find the max 3.9 grns charge less snappy.

I loaded up some 147Gr X-tremes to 3.5Gr of TG at 1.140 OAL. I did not have a chance to chrony it before I shot it all but it was nice to shoot.

FWIW I now use 5.2Gr of HS6 for my 147Gr 9MM load which I like for practice.

3.9gr Unique under the 147.
