Got my new Tanfoglio Force 22lr on Friday and have put over 1000 rounds through her already... This is one GREAT .22....
I was in the market for a .22 because shooting my .45 was getting a bit expensive... I wanted a .22 that looked and felt like a "real gun" not a target pistol.
First I was looking at the Sig Mosquito, but after hearing many bad reviews I decided to look further.
Second I was looking at a CZ Kadet, but the 750 + taxes price tag was kinda steep for a .22
Then I stumbled on the Tanfoglio Force 22lr.... what a great gun... It's a copy of the CZ but in single action, being that I'm a 1911 shooter this was a +

The gun frame is made of polymer and the slide high strenth aluminium (I know what your thinking "Aluminium") but the barrel inside the gun is very thick almost like a bull barrel. It has a fully ajustable rear sight (up/down,left/right) and a removable front site... I find the gun to be very accurate. The grip on the gun is comfortable for large and small handed individuals (mine and the girlfriends). I think the trigger is nice on her + it is ajustable (has a little creep in her but is consistant)

The gun is full size and I personally think that it is a great subistitute for the 1911 (pratice wise I mean, NOTHING is a substitute for the 1911)

there is a few thing that I would change on the gun... for one the slide dosn't lock back when the gun is empty... the second thing I would change is the mags are made of polymer, and have no counting holes in them.

The mags are a little unforgiving if you not familiar with loading ammo... the round will not chamber if the round isn't fully pressed back into the clip....

she had no real fail to feeds... a few misfires BUT I was using 15 year old ammo so I WOULDN"T BLAME THE GUN AT ALL.

If somebody put out an aftermarket steel mag for it the gun would be perfect.... I wonder if the CZ kadet mag would work in her???? or if somebody knows a good gunsmith that could take the 9mm mag and convert it into a .22 mag I would be willing to pay top dollar for one.

I'm adding some photos of the gun (Tanfoglio force 22lr) along with my .45 Colt 1911 so you can see the see the size of it.

Congrats on this beauti. Veru nice gun Rick! This gun looks really rock solid and I like the idea of polymar and aluminum( Kimber use aluminum for their .22 1911 too) IMO it is a much better material then Zine and pot metal. I like polymar mag over those steel mag because polymar won't deform. If Ruger happen make a .22 like this, I think every gunnutz will buy at least one.

ya that would be nice 20 round mag. this mag could easily hold 20 rounds. the bottom is hollow half way up the mag. ahhh well I guess they want to sell more mags.

I wouldn't loose much sleep over the polymer mags, I have some for my Glock Advantage Arms kit, and they have proven to be very reliable and though!

I just wish someone would design a 15 or 20 rounds magazine for 22lr pistol...

Those wouldn't be any good, pistols (including rimfire) are limited to 10 rounds.

Very Nice, I like those.
I tried a Sig .22, wasn't to bad. But it is kinda small.
I really like the Mark III Bull Barrel from Ruger.
I hope to try this one out soon as well, I need something for X-Mas :) :)

Is it bigger than your 1911. The trigger guard in one of the pics looks consideably larger than the guard on your 1911.

How is it for accuracy?

Nice pistol. I am looking at buying one myself.

I must have missed that part of the regulation... I always taught that California was to blame! At least that is the answer I got when I inquired with Advantage Arms for my Glock kit... Since they are located in Cal. they are not allowed to produce higher cap. magazine...

Ho well, we can always dream

How close are the dimension, when compared to a CZ75? I'm thinking it would make a nice "pratice pistol"... if I ever decide to get a 75 :D

It is very accurate!!! the other member at my club really like it.... the first thing everybody says when they pick it up is that "It's so light"... It is very light...

will add more pictures

I highly recomend it

I agree Rick! LOL I am one of the members that shot the gun and it is very accurate with a nice feel to it. Recoil was very low even for a .22.
