Got my new Tanfoglio Force 22lr on Friday and have put over 1000 rounds through her already... This is one GREAT .22....
I was in the market for a .22 because shooting my .45 was getting a bit expensive... I wanted a .22 that looked and felt like a "real gun" not a target pistol.
First I was looking at the Sig Mosquito, but after hearing many bad reviews I decided to look further.
Second I was looking at a CZ Kadet, but the 750 + taxes price tag was kinda steep for a .22
Then I stumbled on the Tanfoglio Force 22lr.... what a great gun... It's a copy of the CZ but in single action, being that I'm a 1911 shooter this was a +
The gun frame is made of polymer and the slide high strenth aluminium (I know what your thinking "Aluminium") but the barrel inside the gun is very thick almost like a bull barrel. It has a fully ajustable rear sight (up/down,left/right) and a removable front site... I find the gun to be very accurate. The grip on the gun is comfortable for large and small handed individuals (mine and the girlfriends). I think the trigger is nice on her + it is ajustable (has a little creep in her but is consistant)
The gun is full size and I personally think that it is a great subistitute for the 1911 (pratice wise I mean, NOTHING is a substitute for the 1911)
there is a few thing that I would change on the gun... for one the slide dosn't lock back when the gun is empty... the second thing I would change is the mags are made of polymer, and have no counting holes in them.
The mags are a little unforgiving if you not familiar with loading ammo... the round will not chamber if the round isn't fully pressed back into the clip....
she had no real fail to feeds... a few misfires BUT I was using 15 year old ammo so I WOULDN"T BLAME THE GUN AT ALL.
If somebody put out an aftermarket steel mag for it the gun would be perfect.... I wonder if the CZ kadet mag would work in her???? or if somebody knows a good gunsmith that could take the 9mm mag and convert it into a .22 mag I would be willing to pay top dollar for one.
I'm adding some photos of the gun (Tanfoglio force 22lr) along with my .45 Colt 1911 so you can see the see the size of it.
