Any experience with these? I have heard many good things. I have had great success with factory modified choke with BB shot. Just wanted to see if the pattern master is all it’s cracked up to be. Gun is a Beretta A300

I had a Pattern master Code Black Goose on my Baikal 153. Great performance with steel shot. It would put all 9 00 buck pellets(factory load) into 4" at 25 yards. Sold it trading up to something better which was not.

I have a few and like them. They are ultra tight patterns and will take some shooting to figure them out. My pattern masters consistently shoot 8” high and when I switch back to beretta chokes, the pattern drops back to just above the bead. So shoot paper and then practice with the choke. Shots inside 30yards are tuffer, but the 45-55 yard shots are the sweet spot. With the pattern masters, you either hit it with everything, or miss by a mile. Lots of guys like that

I had the same experince with a code black duck in a Browning A5 . it tended to shoot a bit high . performance with BB and 2 was impressive .

My Code Black Goose shoots very impressive patterns at 50 yards with Fasteel 3" #2. Point of impact is right where it should be. Always shoot for the head neck area, a center mass hit at 20 yards will destroy a bird.

We can always tell after a hunt which birds I had hit vs my friends. I have to take farther shots, shooting too close blows the birds apart.

I have always had the same issues as mentioned above with aftermarket chokes. Pattern is too tight inside 25 yards. I have been messing around with close range aftermarket chokes and am finding these to be great inside 35 yards.

I am a true believe in aftermarket chokes overall for waterfowl.
