Source for Woodleigh Bullets in Canada

I just called Huntingdons and you're right, they are allowed (by whom I don't know...) to ship up to $500 worth of brass to a Canadian address. So that's good news, and this company has always been good to deal with. I didn't ask about bullets, but I suspect it will be the same deal.

Only one problem now that the cat is out of the bag, I hope they have enough to go around.

Keeping up to demand in the U.S. is absolutely crazy right now.

I just ordered a very expensive set of limited production reloading dies from RCBS.

$$$ Ouch!!!

I'm pulling brass in from the U.S. and Australia. $$$ Ding, ding, ding

I guess the cat is out of the bag, but Huntingdons told me they are out of the most popular items from demand in the US. They will not accept any online orders anymore (from anywhere), because of stock availability. And it is all in US$, and it will likely require some fees for border crossing etc.

So the good news is we can get it from the US, but the bad news (as you stated), expect to pay.

im not an user of that bullet in 270 win. you will not attract the specific users flooded in that thread but that is your question.
 
Just a follow-up to cigar_man's and guy329's posts. I talked to Huntington's today, and they confirmed that they can ship bullets to Canada (as long as the order is under $500). Unfortunately, they are currently out of the Woodleigh 6.5mm. 160-gr PPSN bullets I was interested in (and appear to be about out of all Woodleigh bullets). They said that they expect to receive the Woodleigh shipment in about 6-8 weeks.
 
That 180 grain bullet may be too long to stabilize in most 277 barrels for 270 win and wsm. 160 grain nosler partition and 150 grain barnes tsx are right on the limit of what a 1:10 inch twist barrel will stabilize. The 6.8 western may be able to utilize the 180. Browning is making a rifle with a 1:7 or 1:7.5 twist that is required for 175 grain Sierra stability. Winchester clambering the 6.8 with a 1:8 twist and claims to stabilize 165 g accubonds
 
I've not heard of anyone using the Woodleighs in their 270 Wins locally, im not sure why, certainly dont know anyone whos tried the 180s , would be a good bush stalking Sambar bullet! the 150gr is great over all, an 130gr is awesome on fallow up to sambar.

Also worst Case--- i can likely post Bullets over in personal quanitites IE- not a heap of boxes. * i mean digital scale calibrator tips
 
BTT... I was just on the Tradex site and they show "Out of Stock" for everything Woodleigh. So either somebody's gone on a buying spree, stocking up on every weird calibre and weight, or, more likely, Tradex has decided not to carry them anymore :(. I haven't contacted them to find out the reason.

Wonder what Trade-exs deal is............ possibly not really worth importing them in with the usa market??

that wll suck for you guys but gla someone else is importing big shpments
