Had my first bear show up on cam yesterday

I have 3 bait sites set up just south of Sudbury since Friday. One was hit today by a small bear

The wife had to stop on the highway to let what she said was "the biggest black bear she's ever seen" cross the hwy at the north entrance to Chasm (BC)
Still a bit early here in 5-1 but I've heard reports that they are out and about.
Things should be greening up on the southern slopes pretty soon if this gorgeous weather holds

Wife and I checked baits yesterday. This guy made camp at one site for the last 3 days. He circled us and growled at my wife while we stocked the barrel. Hopefully wifey can be in the tree stand this weekend!

I saw one last Sunday, about 3PM. She was a good size, with two tiny cubs that looked to weigh around ten pounds each. She's safe from me as long as she has those cubs.

Good hair, but you could tell she was thin.

She was eating Skunk Cabbage plants that were just poking out of a swamp.

Heres a zoomed in photo from my bait. Looks to be about a 5 1/2' sow.

Nothing but a big marten so far... Weather hasn't been the greatest but I'm confident they will start hitting the bait soon.

Last evening, picture taken off our deck - not black - was red brownish - cinnamon?? If someone can tell me how to insert a picture in "portrait", I would do so, but seems to want to get pasted in landscape orientation....
