Well got to look at my new rifle today at P&D. Its a T3 Varmint stainless heavy barrel in 260 Rem and I'm thinking that this rifle will be mostly used at the range for shooting at 3 & 400 meters and would like some scope recomendations. I'm thinking 5-15 3200 or a 6 - 18 VX II.
Thanks FS

If it were me, I would go with the VX-II 6-18x40 target scope. But thats just me :D

I have the same rifle in .223. I mounted a VX-III 6.5-20x40mm Long Range (55142) with fine cross hair. While it is very clear I never compared it with any VX-II to determine if I am getting good values.

Cheers!

Think I found one

Found a great deal at P&D on a 6.5-20x50 VX III Long Range, its silver but for the price I got it for, who cares what colour it is. Thanks for all your opinions. FS

I think it will go well with your new rifle. Post some pics when you get her up & running. And some target pics when you get the right load working.

Sounds like a nice scope for the package. I'm a little late on suggestions, but next time consider some of the scopes that CyberK has on here. They are a nice piece of kit for the $ you pay.

Have fun with your new shooting iron, Homesteader

Have you looked at any of the IOR VALDADA or FALCONOPTICS offerings?

I have a couple IOR scopes that are crystal clear with the M8 reticles in 2.5-10 x 42 with 30mm tubes and target style turrets. They don't have AO, but they don't seem to need it either, no trouble with minute of coyote out to 400+yds as long as I do my part.
I only have one Falcon, the Merlin model, 4-14 x 42 with 30mm tube and their great mildot open crosshair reticle along with side adjustable paralax an target style turrets. It's mounted on a T3, 6.5x55. and is absolutely reliable and consistant in any temperature, even after slipping on the ice a couple of times and falling on it. cost $800 appx maybe cheaper now that the Can dollar is higher.

The Falcon is the cheaper of the two and has yet to tested at -40C on a proven accurate rifle. The rifle it was tested on is basicly a test bed unit that delivers 1min groups on a reliably consistant basis. So far it all looks good. Next it goes on a T3, 25-06. It also has more accessories packed with it than any other scope I've come accross, like screw on lens covers, light shades and an optional use 4 in wheel that fits onto the paralax turret for ultra fine adjustment. cost - appx $400C
