buckmark rifle???

Where did you see them at. I've been looking for one and none of the major firearms dealers have any.:(

They are a very nice rifle and with the target barrel, they shoot quite well. Early ones didn't have the accuracy but the ones I've shot over the past six months have been excellent and group 1/2" and 25yds. I haven't had a chance to test them at 50yds which would be the better test. They are very light and thats what appeals to me.

Both wholesalesports and sirmailorder list them, but I don't know if either have stock. Neat looking rifles. I'd like to try one out sometime...

Anyone else have experience with them?

I have the target model. Love it.

-It balances awesome
-Extremely accurate (ore accurate than my Lilja-barreled 10/22)
-Excellent trigger (better than the Volquartsen 10/22 match trigger/sear/hammer)
-Long, comfortable LOP
-It's overall length is shorter than a 18.5" 10/22, despite the 20" barrel and long LOP
-It's an attention getter

-The only real con that I can see it that there are no 25 round mags available.
-Because it has a pistol-type action with a slide, you do occasionally get some dust in your face. Not enough to be dangerous, but it can be distracting if you're not used to it.

This gets me thinking. If a high capacity mag were to be made, would it then be legal to use on the Buckmark Pistol?

Much like the situation with 10 rd AR-15 mags being legal.

I saw these at Beloeil's SAIL and Latulippe in Quebec City. If I remember they were around 600$

I have the sporter model don't know about the rest. This one is great in all aspects of shooting as far as well it's just great. Had it for a little over two years and it's a keeper. What a hoot to shoot!:D

Poor accuracy

I had the missfortune of purchasing a Buckmark heavy barrel .22. After trying 17 different brands of ammo, the BEST 50m group was from American Eagle ammo, and that was still a dismal 1.50" group. The really sad part is i sold a 10 22 Ruger to purchase this gun. The Ruger grouped as well at 100m as this Browning does at 50m. My suggestion is stay away from it!!

You had a 10/22 that shot 1.5" at 100 yards? :rolleyes:I call BS.
Unless, of course, you spent mega dollars "fixing" it to do that....then the question that comes to mind is why didn't you buy a Benchmark or Kimber for the $?

Sorry bud, but I've had one of every model of buckmark rifle, and the only one that was less than stellar was the carbon-fibre barreled model....but even it shot better than 1" at 50.

Nice first post newbie...:feedTroll:
