Bullet accuracy and cost is a compromise.
For serious target work, match bullets are required. They will deliver the max the rifle (and you) are capable of.
For plinking (making noise) the FMJ is cheap and effective.
If you want something better than FMJ, but not expensive, buy a flat base soft point bullet. It will group almost as well as a match bullet to 300 yards, at a much lower cost.
I used to shoot the Hornady flat base bullet to 600 yards, when trying to save money.
